Shopping for an Alter

So over the last few weeks, my fem alter has been coming through really strong and fronting more than usual. The host is typically unkempt and doesn't worry about labels and clothing needs to often and will quite literally wear something that is more holes than functional clothing. But since the fem alter has been fronting more, things like hair, makeup, clothing, and accessories have been sought after, to the point where others are beginning to notice it.

One day the Fem Alter forced a haircut and purchase

of clothing that was not within the budget means and caused some billing issues.
We have been trying to curb the need to buy things that are not necessary, yet the compulsion to buy it and justify it, has been a very trying and tiring experience. A purchase for the little seems to be where this was all started. Now the others are wanting things, and the budget isn't allowing for these purchases, and it literally feels like the system is throwing a fit.

How do you stop or satiate the others while trying not to spend every last cent in the systems account?

1. This is really hard to manage. Thankfully a lot of interests overlap, but I've noticed some of us are more impulsive than others. Like when one of the younger alters bought a 1K TV. I really like it, but I don't think we needed it...sigh

2. Lmfao. I'm so broke all the time. I am sooooo much better at budgeting than anyone I've ever met. People like, buy stuff they want? FUCK THAT! I pay my bills and call it a day. I've never bought anything I've ever wanted. Ever. 'Cept, I'm still broke. In fact, my BFF is just as poor but she has a new hat? Wtf! So now I've lost all control of my finances. Oh I have $100? Tomorrow it's gone! Now I have $500? Nope. Gone. Doesn't matter how much I have, it's gone. Honestly, I don't even care. I should not have to break my back to eat Subway once a month. So fuck that, I'm buying a sub everyday, I'm getting a new dress and I'm gonna take those twenty dollar bills and rain on the gutter of my life. Oh I have change? Two bags of Doritos, pls.

3. I try to find free or more cost effective things to get. For example, Fortnite is a video game that doesn't cost anything up front and you're never required to pay anything in game. Also, thrifting for clothes if an alter wants something in a style we don't usually wear or wants to find something name brand. It takes a long time and its a process to find anything good but it can be fun too, especially if you go with friends and they can even stop whoever's fronting from buying something ridiculous that you won't use.
